At Meatigo, we aim to make your fresh chicken delivery fast, reliable, and hassle-free. This Shipping & Delivery Policy explains how we operate our nationwide delivery service, including timeframes, charges, and special handling of perishable goods. We comply with UAE e-commerce regulations and strive to exceed customer expectations with each delivery.

Delivery Areas:
We deliver across all seven Emirates of the UAE: Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah, Umm Al Quwain, and many smaller towns in between. Our goal is to reach as many communities as possible with fresh poultry. If you’re unsure whether we deliver to your specific location, please contact us or enter your address at checkout to confirm availability (we cover 99% of addresses in UAE, including most urban and suburban areas).

Delivery Timeframes:

  • Next Day Delivery: Orders placed before our daily cutoff time (for example, 5:00 PM UAE time) are eligible for next day delivery in major areas. In Dubai and Abu Dhabi metro areas, we typically deliver within 24 hours. Other Emirates and outlying areas are usually also delivered next day, though some remote locations might take up to 48 hours. We do not dispatch on public holidays, so an order placed right before a holiday may be delivered the next business day.
  • Delivery Slots: In Dubai and some cities, we offer delivery slots (e.g., Morning or Evening) which you can choose at checkout for convenience. We will do our best to deliver within your chosen time window. In other Emirates, deliveries usually occur during daytime hours (approximately 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM). Our team will contact you on the delivery day to provide an estimated arrival time.
  • Same-Day Delivery: Currently, we do not guarantee same day delivery for orders, but we are working on introducing express options in Dubai. If you have an urgent request, please call us if the order is placed early and we have capacity, we might be able to accommodate a same day delivery in select areas.

Delivery Charges:

  • We provide AED 10 delivery cahrges on orders that meet a minimum order value threshold. Currently, orders of AED 100 or more qualify for free next day delivery across UAE. For orders below AED 100, a nominal delivery fee of AED 20 will be added at checkout. (These amounts are subject to change; any changes will be clearly displayed on our website and at checkout.)
  • Promotional Free Shipping: At times we may run promotions for free delivery regardless of order value, or reduced delivery fees for certain areas. Follow our website and social media for announcements on such offers.
  • There are no hidden charges the delivery fee (if applicable) is transparently shown before you finalize your order. Cash on Delivery orders do not incur any extra COD fee; you simply pay the order amount (plus delivery if applicable) to the driver upon arrival.

Packaging & Handling:
All our fresh poultry products are carefully packed in insulated, food grade packaging to maintain the cold chain during transit. We use sealed packs or temperature-controlled boxes with cooling packs as needed, especially during hot weather. Our delivery vehicles are refrigerated vans or ice-box equipped bikes that ensure your order remains at safe chilled temperatures throughout the journey. This means your chicken arrives in perfect condition fresh, cool, and ready to cook or refrigerate. Please refrigerate your order promptly upon receipt to maintain freshness.

Delivery Procedure:
On the day of delivery, our driver will call or text you when they are en route to your address. Please ensure that someone is available at the given address during the expected delivery window. Upon arrival, the driver will hand over your order and collect payment (if you chose Cash on Delivery). We recommend inspecting the items and the packaging at the time of delivery. If anything is amiss (wrong item or damage), you can inform the driver and also contact us immediately so we can log the issue and resolve it swiftly.

If You Are Not Home:
If no one is available to receive the delivery at the specified address and time, our delivery personnel will attempt to contact you to arrange an alternative solution. Because our products are perishable, we cannot simply leave them unattended at your door. In the event we cannot complete the delivery because you were unavailable, we may have to reschedule for the next available slot. Additional delivery charges may apply for redelivery in such cases. It is the customer’s responsibility to provide an accurate address and be available to receive the items; Meatigo cannot be held liable for spoilage if delivery is unsuccessful due to customer unavailability.

Address Accuracy:
Please double check your delivery address and contact details when placing an order. We will deliver to the exact address provided by you. Any errors in the address (e.g., wrong building number, missing apartment details) can lead to delays or failed delivery attempts. We are not responsible for orders delivered late or lost due to incorrect addresses given by customers. If you realize you made a mistake in the address, contact us immediately so we can update it before the order is dispatched.

Delivery Delays:
While we strive to meet the promised delivery times, occasionally delays can occur due to circumstances beyond our control such as heavy traffic, weather conditions, vehicle breakdowns, or high order volumes on peak days. We ask for your patience and will do our best to inform you promptly if we anticipate a significant delay. Our delivery team will keep you updated by phone/SMS in case of any unusual delay. Meatigo will not be held liable for any minor delays in delivery, but we will always work to get your order to you as soon as possible. In the rare event we cannot deliver within the promised window, we may offer compensation such as a coupon for your next order, at our discretion.

Temperature Assurance & Liability:
Once delivered, the responsibility for proper storage of the product lies with the customer. We strongly advise immediately transferring the chicken to a refrigerator (or freezer if you plan to freeze it) upon receiving the order. We include storage recommendations with every package (e.g., “Keep refrigerated at 0-5°C”). Meatigo cannot be held responsible for product quality degradation due to improper handling or lack of refrigeration after delivery. Rest assured, up until the point of handover, your order is kept in optimal conditions. If you have any concerns about the temperature or condition on delivery, please raise them with the driver or our customer support at that time.
