Welcome to Meatigo Fresh Poultry Trading L.L.C’s website (“Meatigo”, “we”, “our” or “us”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Meatigo website (our “Site”), and the purchase of any products from our Site. By using our Site or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our Site. We may modify these Terms from time to time, so please check back often. Your continued use of the Site following any changes signifies your acceptance of the updated Terms.

1. Account Registration & Security

  • Eligibility: You must be 18 years or older to register or use our e-commerce services. By creating an account or placing an order, you represent that you are at least 18 and capable of entering into a legal contract in the UAE.
  • Account Creation: Certain features of our Site (like placing orders) require creating an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and at all other times when using the Site. Use a valid email address and choose a strong password.
  • Account Responsibility: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account login details and restricting access to your account. Any activities that occur under your account are your responsibility. If you suspect unauthorized use of your account or any security breach, you must notify us immediately. Meatigo will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to keep your credentials secure.
  • Multiple Accounts: You may not create multiple accounts for illegitimate reasons (such as abusing promotional offers). We reserve the right to suspend or terminate duplicate or suspicious accounts.
  • Account Termination: We reserve the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, or cancel orders at our discretion if we believe a user is violating these Terms or engaging in fraudulent or harmful activity.

2. Placing Orders & Payment

  • Order Process: When you place an order on our Site, you are making an offer to purchase the selected products. We may send an order confirmation by email/SMS to acknowledge that we have received your order. This confirmation is not final acceptance of your offer; final acceptance occurs when we dispatch the product(s) to you. We reserve the right to reject or cancel orders for any reason, such as stock unavailability, suspicion of fraud, or errors in pricing.
  • Pricing & Product Descriptions: All prices on our Site are listed in UAE Dirhams (AED) and are inclusive of any VAT (if applicable) unless stated otherwise. We strive to ensure that all product descriptions, weights, and pricing on our Site are accurate. However, mistakes can occur. If we discover a pricing error for an item you’ve ordered, we will inform you as soon as possible and give you the option to reconfirm the order at the correct price or cancel for a full refund. If we can’t reach you, the order may be treated as canceled for the mispriced item.
  • Payment Methods: We accept various payment methods, including Cash on Delivery (COD) and online payments via credit/debit cards. For COD, you agree to have the payment ready upon delivery. For card payments, you must be an authorized user of the card. All online payments are processed through secure, encrypted channels. We do not retain your card details on our servers.
  • Payment Authorization: In the case of online payment, your card will be charged when your order is processed. If the payment is not authorized or fails, we will not be able to fulfill your order. It is your responsibility to ensure sufficient funds and correct payment details.
  • Order Confirmation & Tracking: After placing your order, you should receive confirmation via email or SMS. Once dispatched, we may send a notification with tracking information or an estimated delivery time. If you have an account, you can also log in to view your order status.
  • Minimum Order: We may impose a minimum order value for delivery (e.g., we might require a minimum purchase of AED 100 for delivery service, as is common in the market). Any such minimums will be stated on our Site. Orders below the minimum may not be accepted or may incur an extra fee.

3. Shipping, Delivery & Title

  • Delivery Service: Meatigo will arrange delivery of the products to the address you provide, according to our Shipping & Delivery Policy. Delivery times are estimates and not guaranteed, but we will do our best to meet them. Next day delivery is standard for most areas, but see our policy for details and exceptions.
  • Delivery Completion: Upon delivery, title and risk of loss for the products pass to you. Please inspect your order on delivery. If there are any issues (missing or wrong items, damage, etc.), let us know immediately.
  • Failed Delivery: If we are unable to deliver because no one is available or the address was incorrect, we will attempt to contact you to reschedule. We reserve the right to charge a re-delivery fee if the failure was due to customer fault (e.g., wrong address or not being present after scheduling). Refer to the Shipping Policy for more on this.
  • Multiple Shipments: If your order contains several items, we may ship in multiple batches (for example, if certain items are available sooner). You will not be charged extra for split shipments.

4. Returns & Refunds

  • Return Policy Overview: Fresh poultry is perishable, and as such our return and refund terms are limited. Please refer to our detailed Return & Refund Policy for the full terms, which are incorporated into these Terms by reference.
  • Incorrect/Damaged Goods: If you receive incorrect or damaged products, or products that are not of acceptable quality, you must notify us within 24 hours of delivery. We will happily provide a refund or replacement in accordance with our policy.
  • Change of Mind: As a general rule and in line with hygiene and consumer protection guidelines, we cannot accept returns simply due to change of mind or personal preference for fresh food items. Once the product is delivered in good condition, it cannot be taken back for resale.
  • Process: To initiate a return or refund, contact our customer service. You may be required to provide proof of the issue (e.g., photos). If a return pickup is arranged, the item must be handed back in its delivered condition (unused and properly stored). Refunds for online payments will be processed back to the original method within 5-7 working days of approval. COD refunds will be handled via bank transfer or store credit.
  • Cancellation: You can cancel orders before dispatch by contacting us quickly (usually within 30 minutes to 1 hour of placing the order, or as otherwise specified). Once dispatched, orders cannot be canceled. We reserve the right to cancel any order and refund you if we suspect fraud or severe ordering irregularities.

5. Usage of the Site & Prohibited Conduct

  • License to Use Site: We grant you a limited, revocable license to access and make personal use of our Site. You agree not to download, modify, reproduce, or resell any portion of the Site without our express written consent. This includes scraping or using data mining tools, framing our Site within another site, or using any meta tags or hidden text using our name or trademarks without permission.
  • Prohibited Uses: You agree not to misuse the Site. Specifically, you shall not:

The compilation of all content on this Site is our exclusive property.
  • Trademarks: “Meatigo Fresh Poultry Trading L.L.C” and our logos, slogans, and graphics are trademarks or service marks of Meatigo in the UAE and/or other countries. You may not use any Meatigo trademarks or trade dress without our prior written permission, especially in any manner that disparages or discredits Meatigo or could cause confusion among customers.

This includes, without limitation, any loss of profits, loss of data, business interruption, or personal injuries resulting from use of spoiled products if you failed to store them properly after delivery.
  • Direct Damages Cap: Our total liability to you for any direct damages arising from any cause whatsoever and regardless of the form of action (whether in contract, tort, or otherwise) will at all times be limited to the amount you paid us for the product(s) in question. For example, if an issue arises with a specific order, our maximum liability would be the total value of that order.
  • Product Liability: Meatigo’s liability for any claim related to product quality or safety is limited to the remedies provided in our Return & Refund Policy (refund or replacement, at our discretion and as applicable). We handle and deliver products according to strict food safety standards, but once delivered, we cannot control how you handle or cook the products. We are not liable for any illness or harm that results from improper storage, handling, or cooking of our products after delivery. Always follow safe food handling practices.
  • Exceptions: Nothing in these Terms shall limit or exclude our liability for any liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law. For instance, Meatigo does not seek to exclude liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or any breach of statutory duty under UAE law that cannot be waived. Additionally, your statutory consumer rights are not affected by these Terms, and in the event of any conflict between these Terms and mandatory consumer protections under UAE law, the law shall prevail.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Meatigo, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents, from any claim, demand, loss, or damage (including legal fees) arising out of or related to your breach of these Terms or your violation of any law or rights of a third party. For example, if you misuse the website in a way that causes harm to someone or if you violate someone’s intellectual property by posting unauthorized content on our Site, and Meatigo faces claims as a result, you agree to cover those costs.

10. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

  • Applicable Law: These Terms and any dispute arising out of your use of the Site or purchase of products shall be governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, and for UAE residents specifically the laws of the Emirate of Dubai and federal UAE law, without regard to conflict of law principles.
  • Jurisdiction: You agree that any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dubai, UAE, unless another jurisdiction is mandated by operation of applicable consumer protection law. We will, however, make good faith efforts to resolve any issue directly with you before resorting to legal means your satisfaction is important to us.

  • No Waiver: If we do not enforce a particular provision of these Terms in some instance, it does not mean we waive our right to enforce it in the future. A waiver of any term shall only be effective if in writing and signed by an authorized representative of Meatigo.
  • Force Majeure: Meatigo will not be held responsible for any delay or failure to perform our obligations (including delivery) if such delay or failure results from events or circumstances beyond our reasonable control, such as natural disasters, acts of government, strikes, transportation interruptions, or internet outages. However, we will do our best to inform customers and mitigate any such issues.
  • Transfer of Rights: You may not assign or transfer any rights or obligations under these Terms to any third party without our written consent. Meatigo may transfer its rights and obligations (for example, in the event of a business sale or reorganization) to another party, but if so, we will ensure that your rights are not affected.
  • Headings: Section titles and headings in these Terms are for convenience only and have no legal or contractual effect.
